Delay hits N.Z. hotel project
NZPA Hong Kong Chinese authorities are still considering a hotel construction project proposed by New Zealand companies about 12, months ago. The-. proposal was advanced by a group including Fletcher Industries and the Mainzeal’Corporation. Reliable business sources in Hong Kong have said that talks on the. proposal are continuing, but that the Chinese authorities apparently want some modifications to the group’s plans. These include changes in some of the building materials originally suggested. Fletcher’s is also believed to be connected with proposals concerning the construction of a spinning mill at the textile industry centre of Tiensin. Executives of the company are in China for talks on this project.
