Wedding, plans kept quiet
The permanent head of the Prime Minister’s Department, Mr Bernard Galvin, took advantage of his free time during Monday’s Cabinet meeting to get married. His wife is Professor Margaret Clark, head of Victoria University’s department of political science and administration.
The pair kept their wedding plans quiet, the few people in the know being sworn to secrecy. Mr Galvin went to work on Monday mornng before leaving for the wedding at the Wellington Registry Office. Witnesses were the Prime Minister’s press secretary, Mr Gerry Symmans and Mrs Synimans.
