Male abortion counsellor

Sir,' — lam amazed - to see letters of support for the appointment of a male as an abortion counsellor. I wonder if the “experts” behind the appointment and support of this man have ever consulted the “ordinary” woman about their feelings on the subject. It is ludicrous to imagine that a male ’could give the same intuitive emotional support that flows between women in such a situation. A woman coping with an abortion must feel strange enough talking about her emotions to a male, but how would a rape victim feel, when confronted with yet another male, - after her male enforced experience? The whole abortion situation is bad enough for women, without being made worse in this way. I just, hope that the male involved will do the only thing and resign. — Yours, etc.,
