Professor Brinkman suggested to the Minister that several final-year medical students- from each ctjun,try . should participate: in. an annual exchange scheme to undertake elec-tive’.'-studies for three -.months.:?. . , The? suggestion received enthusiastic support from the ‘Chinese, and Professor Brinkman will visit China
soon to complete the arrangements. He will be part of a New Zealand Government delegation .which includes the Minister of Health (Mr Gair) and the Director-General of Health. (Dr H. J. H. Hiddlestone). .-The delegation will pay a two-week courtesy visit' to China to inspect facilities and study the health systeiy. there.
