Restriction in Syria
NZPA-Reuter Beirut Syrian authorities are preventing Westerners from travelling to central and northern areas shaken by recent anti-Goyemment unrest, according to travellers arriving in Beirut from Syria. They said soldiers manning a road-block at the entrance of the agricultural! city of Hama, in central) Syria, had stopped a senior European diplomat at the week-end and told him to' return to Damascus. Hama lies on the main road between Damascus and the northern city of Aleppo. Both cities were the scene of anti - Government violence; and unrest in the last few weeks. I
