Man drowned in lake
PA Rotorua A Tauranga man drowned in a man-made lake at Kiwi Ranch, Tikitere, about 2 p.m. on Monday. He was ■ Thomas Tuakana, aged 21, of Tauranga, who was one of a group of intellectually handicapped people attending a camp at the ranch. While boating on the lake he fell from his one-man canoe. His lifejacket came adrift from him and he drowned. Divers recovered .the body.
