Malaysian students form group
PA Wellington Malaysian /• students- in New Zealand have formed their own national/ organisation. • The Union of MalaysianStudents ip New Zealand was formed at Palmerston North la-st week, said the first president, Mr Cheong Soun Wah, of Christchurch. The inaugural conference, was attended by Malaysian student delegations from their respective organisations at Auckland, Christchurch, Dunedin, Palmerston North, Hamilton, and'Wellington. “It hag been the wish and desire of the Malaysian students in New Zealand to form their own national organisation/’ said Mr Cheong. “Our union will not only promote unity and understanding among Malaysian students in New Zealand but represent them and safeguard their interests in all matters.”
