Birth-date not needed on forms
The birth date of an elector would no longer be required on local-body voter enrolment forms, the Christchurch City Council’s policy’ and finance committee has been told. Neither would electors have to list their occupations on the forms. Some councillors had been concerned about the changed requirements on new forms. A report by the Town Clerk (Mr J. H. Gray) said the forms had been made less confusing in other ways. He had discussed the problems with officers of the Department of Internal Affairs in Wellington.
