NZPA Belfast; A 19-year-old soldier has | been charged with the unlawful killing of a former nurse who died at an Ulster border 1 checkpoint on Sunday. i A Royal Ulster Constabu-; lary spokesman said Private' Robert Reid Davidson had ap- ] peared before a special court at Strabane, and had been remanded in Army custody until May 26. Mrs Mary Doherty, aged 53, of Strabane, died of bullet wounds as the car in which she was travelling with her husband and relatives crossed the border after visiting a hotel in the Irish Republic to celebrate their silver wedding anniversary.
