Yir Tiz No. 1 at Ellerslie
PA Auckland The game- two-year-old filly, Yir Tiz, has been voted Ellerslie “Horse of the Year” for 1980. She was named in SO per cent of the votes recorded by racegoers on the final day of the Auckland Racing Club’s Easter carnival on Saturday. • Yir Tiz has so far raced at Ellerslie six times for five wins and a dead-heat for Paddy Boy in Saturday’s Ellerslie Sires’ Produce Stakes. After Yir Tiz in the voting . came Arbre Chene, winner of the Railway Handicap and the . Air New Zealand Stakes, Coober*s Queen, Judena, Silver Nymph,, and Ascona.
