Adversaries report rape
PA Auckland A woman went to the Glen Innes police station yesterday to report that she had been raped, accompanied by the man she claimed was responsible. . The woman, aged 28, told police she had left a downtown nightclub .with the man just after 3 a.m. and had gone to a Glendowie house with him. There, she said, he had raped her and an argument had developed. She told the police the man had hit her and she had run out of the house and flagged down a passing milkman.
The man and the woman later turned up at the Glen Innes police station. The man told the police he had gone along to give his side of the story. The man, aged 25, was subsequently charged with rape and assault. .
