PA Dunedin Frank Oliver, one of the outstanding New Zealand forwards of the past few years, will play his rugby in Otago this year and he is intent on regaining his place in the All Blacks. . .
“I’m fit, keen and available for rugby at all levels,” Oliver said from his home at Mi I ton yesterday. Oliver dismissed speculation that he would be playing his rugby in the North Island, this winter.
“I’ll be playing the season here.” he said. “I am keen to play in the first round of club rugby on ' Saturday, 1 owe the Toko club a lot.”
Oliver, aged 31, arrived back in Milton on Tuesday iafter playing a season of rugby for the Jaffa club in the first division of the Italian club championship. ! “I, wanted to be back in . New Zealand for the start, of I the’club season. My loyalties [are with'. ' New Zealand .1 rugby,” he said.
