Government securities
PA Wellington The Reserve Bank of New Zealand reports that sales of Government securities by specialised dealers for the week to March 28, comprised 56 transactions, totalling $53,865,530. Of this total, 28 transactions, totalling $39,077,000, involved Treasury bills. The weighted average yield for Treasury bill sales was 10.799 per cent. Sales of Government stock totalled $14,788,530, from 28 transactions. The weighted average yield for stocks maturing 'under two years was 12.073 per cent; from two to five years 13.350 per cent; and over five years 13.737 per cent.
The transactions do not include sales and purchases with the Reserve Bank.
