A glossary of building terms has been published by the Standards Association.
that most terms connected with obsolete building practices have been deleted, although some terms used in restoration work have been included. The new glossary, priced at $8.55, is available at the Canterbury Building Centre, in Cashel Street, and at Technical Books, Ltd, in Colombo Street.
.The 160-page book updates the first “Glossary of Building Terminology”, published in 1956, and is intended as a reference book for all terms used in New Zealand building and planning. The association says
