Theft from hotel safe
PA Tauranga Between $lO,OOO and $12,000 in cash and cheques was stolen from the safe at Mount Maunganui’s Oceanside Hotel on Monday night. < The safe was opened with a key, and there was no sign of forced entry to the office, which is just inside the hotel’s main door. The theft is the biggest in the Tauranga district for many years. .
