General forecast: As the depression in the western Tasman Sea approaches the North Island, further shower activity will affect western, districts of the North Island and northwestern districts of the South Island. The depression to the ; south-east of the South Island is moving eastwards and the southerly flow on its western side will!

become established over the South Island turing the day bringing showers to many smthern and eastern dis« tricts.
