APPLICATIONS are invited by the University of Otago for the post of Technician/ Technical Officer in the University Department of Surgery at the Wellington Clinical School of Medicine. Applicants should have appropriate qualifications and medical laboratory experience. The successful applicant would be expected to act as technical adviser to the Head of the Department and to assume the responsibility for the running of the laboratory, and would be expected to assist and advise graduate and undergraduate students in technological matters and oversee the other technicians in the department. Initial salary will be on a scale within the range $7325-$11,699 per annum depending on qualifications and experience, but a particularly well suited applicant could be appointed at a higher salary.
