Special correspondent Dunedin Musterer, which is to race on the second day of the Canterbury Jockey Club’s Easter meetL.g, . sprinted, smartly in training' at Wing-' atui yesterday. Musterer ram 800 m in 51s, the last 600 m in 39.1 s on an easy inside grass. He will be tried in blinkers,- at Riccarton and ■ will be ridden by Gary Blair. Bright Flight was shading Taieri Special at the finish of 1200 m run in Imin 18.95, the opening 600 m in 38.45. Syratt Royal and Najeeb covered the same ground in Imin 20.55.

Candyboy sprinted home from the 600 m in 39.8 s on a slush - sand. Jack Pierce, which ran an improved race at- Beaumont last Saturday, and- Causelight returned 40.25.

•Mellseur is at Riccarton in the care of Tom Lalor and she is to contest the George Adams Handicap there on Saturday week. Nick Harnett has the mount.
