Trainer not discouraged
Special correspondent Cambridge Silver Wraith’s failures in the Ryder Stakes and the Ajax Stakes at .Rosehill, Sydney; in the past two weeks have not discouraged his trainer, L. K. Laxon, of Cambridge, too much. .'; • He said: “He did hot ,un a bad race oc the first day after keeping close to Manikato for much of the race and he had no luck at all last Saturday. He was checked at the start then had to race about five horses wide and when .they are running the first 800 m in about 465.' A. Phillips who has Easter commitments with Despa in Sydney will have the ride.
