A man who played a prominent role in the administration of athletics in Canterbury for a great many years, Mr George Voller, died recently after an illness. He was 65. Mr Voller was a member of the Christchurch Harrier Club for about 40 years- At different times he held the positions of club captain, secretary and president. He was made a

life member for his services some years ago. At a higher level, he was an executive member of the Canterbury Athletic Centre for several years in the 19605,. and was secretary of the Canterbury cross-country committee for many years. More recently, Mr Voller was a keen bowler. He. rose, to presidency of the Cashmere 'Bowling Club. in 1977-78,’
