600 goals to O’Donnell
Inaccurate goal-kicking by Michael O’Donnell and Grahame Frew cost Mar-ist-Western Suburbs valuable points in its QantasRadio Avon rugby league tournament semi-final against Linwood last Wednesday evening. Both ' missed opportunities from simple positions. But the one goal kicked by O’Donnell made him only the second play-
er to reach a milestone of 600 goals in premier football.
Trevor Williams, of Hornby, retired with a record total of 617 goals, plus one field goal. Because of O’Donnell’s more prolific try-scoring, he has already surpassed Williams’s career aggregate of 1331. points, and is now. within three points of 1400.
