Force wants station
NZPA Hong Kong A radio station may be established by the New Zealand force, in South-East Asia, and based in Singapore. The force newsletter, “Contact,” says in its latest issue that officers of the unit’s headquarters are investigating the feasibility of establishing the station. The programme content would be directed towards New Zealand servicemen and their dependants. It could contain items involving New Zealand news, New Zealand Force news, and light music, the newsletter says. It asked members of the force for their reaction to the idea and whether they would be prepared to assist in the running of the station.
