Otago's bid rejected
PA ■ Dunedin Otago has lost its bid to have the Government, re-; verse an earlier decision; and buy a computerised’ body scanner for the lower half of the South Island. The Prime Minister (Mr Muldoon) has told the Otago Hospital Board that the Government would not change its position and approve a scanner for Dunedin. However, he said the matter would be considered again in three years. He told the board that even should the $900,000 purchase price of the scanner be raised locally the Government would not provide the' funds necessary to run it..
