The appointees will be responsible for all the Board’s reserves from the Kie Kie Stream to the Oaro River on the southern Kaikoura coast. Duties involve care and maintenance of reserves and associated buildings, and plant, allocation of campsites and collection of fees from campers.This is a sole charge position requiring self motivated, trustworthy people who are prepared to work irregular hours, particularly during holiday periods. A mechanical background and experience in dealing with the public is also preferred. Rent free accommodation is provided and the appointees will have the right to trade from a small shop attached to the dwelling. Payment will be on the basis of a retainer plus commission.
