The police arrested 11 people as violent clashes erupted .during a demonstration against the Prime Minister (Mr Fraser) in Melbourne yesterday. A number of demonstrators, and at least one policeman, were injured as vicious fighting broke out in the 500-strong crowd. A young policeman who was helping to; put a demonstrator into _ a brawler van emerged with blood streaming from his head.
