Koala King easily

The New South Wales’ pacer Koala King, easily won the Inter- Dominion Championship Grand Final at Harold Park, Sydney, last evening from one of New Zealand’s two representatives, Locarno, from Greenpark, which looked the likely winner halfway down the straight. Pure Steel (Western Australia) was third.

Lord Module, New Zea« land’s other runner, broke at the start, giving his rivals a start of some 80m, and finished at the rear. The win was worth $76,000 to the owners of Koala King, which had already won 51 races from 140 starts.
