Thirteen injured

Thirteen people were taken to Christchurch Hospital after two accidents late last evening. ' Six persons, two with moderate to serious injuries, were taken to the hospital from an accident involving 'two cars at the intersection of Peterborough Street and Colombo Street at 11.17 p.m. Less than 10 minutes later, two ambulances, a St John Ambulance control car, and a medic were called to a motor accident outside 72 Springs Road, Hornby. Seven persons were taken to the hospital after the Springs Road accident, although it was believed that nobody was seriously hurt. The accident was also attended by the rescue fire tender, the police, and the Ministry of Transport.
