Kitten saved from hanging
PA Whakatane Cardiac massage saved a kitten from death at the hands of young children in Whakatane earlier this week. An off-duty Whakatane detective saved the kitten from sure death when he found it hanging from a tree. He freed the kitten and gave it cardiac massage. It] recovered to take a few sips of water. Two children aged four, admitted to hanging the cat, because it did not like them.
The girl said she had put a hat over the cat first so it would not scratch her. The boy said he “wanted to see it die.”
