Commencing salary will depend on qualifications and experience. Qualifications desired: N.Z.C.S., A.N.Z.I.M.L.T. or B.Sc. (Microbiology). Experience in medical or veterinary diagnostic bacteriology. Duties will include the isolation and identification of bacteria from diagnostic samples and from referred cultures, the management of the Division’s proficiency testing programme and supervision of food microbiology.
