Posting after training may be to another location. Applicants should preferably. be under 45 years of age and the minimum qualification is a Diploma in Agriculture or Horticulture. Duties involve a wide range of work in the agricultural engineering fields. The position is predominantly concerned with horticulture at Pukekohe and agriculture and Whangarei. Commencing salary is dependent on qualifications and experience. A system of accelerated salary increments is payable on good performance, and advancement to higher grades is available on merit. Some appointment expenses may be payable to a married person required to shift household to take up an appointment. The successful applicant will be responsible for calling on horticulturists in and around the Blenheim area, selling and promoting our company’s range of chemicals, herbicides, machinery, etc. This will be a very interesting and challenging position in a district which is expanding into many differing fields of horticulture. . We are looking for a person who has a diploma in horticulture, although this should not deter anvone who has a good horticultural background from applying.
