A total of 1,046,500 shares tvas traded on New Zealand stock exchanges yesterday, including 220,000 special sales. The total was 105,000 fewer than on Thursday.
Industrial shares totalled 1,033,100 (1,146,200 on Thursday), and 13,400 mining and oil shares were traded (5300 on Thursday). A total of 172 issues was traded. The five most active issues were:
