NZPA London The general council of ! the British Trades Union Congress has given its api proval for 12 million i union members to stage a > “day of action” work ; stoppage on May 14 to ■ protest against the policies of the Prime Minister (Mrs Margaret Thatcher). It could be the biggest national work stoppage since the general strike of May 4 to 12, 1926, which involved 1.5 million workers.
