Fifty years service
After 50 years service to the Victory Park Board, its present secretary (Mr Karl McGillivray) tended his resignation at the Board’s annual general meeting last evening. He informed the Board’s outgoing chairman (Mr R. W. Thomas) of his decision a few days ago and will relinquish the position aj the end of September. He was paid tributes for his efforts
ion the Board’s behalf by Ma, Thomas and the new deputy chairman of the Board (Mtf 18. J. Drake). The new chairman of the Board is Mr R. G. Knowles! while Mr Thomas becomes! the chairman of the finance committee. Mr L. J. Knowles and Mr C. H. J. Rhodes, were appointed summer and winter chairmen of the grounds committee respec* tively.
