Bold Mellay works well
Special correspondent ! Dunedin Bold Mellay entered calculations for the Junction Highweight at Beaumont? when he worked with zest at Wingatui yesterday morning. Bold Mellay finished two lengths clear of Master Grey with a similar margin to Slick May at the finish of 1000 m on an easy inside grass. He ran the distance in Imin 3.55, the last 800 m in 50.7 s and 600 m in 37.95. Musterer, which was tried in blinkers, ran a length and a half clear of Adieu after sprinting from the 600 m in 38s. Senator and Cara Breezd dashed home in 37.95. Th® Listener was showing clear of Bren Whit after sprinting 600 m in 38.5 s on the sand at the finish of a second rdund.’
