Charge over baby

PA Wanganui A woman, aged 31, has been charged with unlawfully abandoning a baby, aged one day, at the Wanganui railway station earlier this month.

The woman appeared in the Magistrate’s Court at Wanganui yesterday before Messrs A. Hird and S. D. Hay, Justices of the Peace. The charge resulted from the discovery of the babygirl in the railway station toilets on March 13.
