Mark in trouble?
NZPA London The 4 police have confirmed that they are investigating a ■ complaint that Princess Anne’s husband, Captain Mark Phillips. kicked an unruly horse in the ribs during a crosscountry event.
Chief Superintendent Stanley Ashley said at the Chippenham police headquarters that Captain Phillips had not been interviewed yet but investigations were under way. Mr Ashley said that the Wiltshire police had received a complaint against Captain Phillips from Mrs
Jean Pyke, aged 58, of Hayling Island, Hampshire. “The complaint having been received from Mrs Pyke, and as a result of photographs in the ‘Sun’ and ‘Daily Mail’ newspapers, the matter is now being investigated by a senior police officer from this station. Chief Inspector Brenda Sterry,” Mr Ashley said.
He said the police were anxious to hear from anyone who might have seen the alleged incident more than two weeks ago at Sherton, near Malmesbury, Wiltshire.
