Crossbred wool firm
PA Invercargill Best-style crossbred fleece values were generally unchanged at the Invercargill wool sale yesterday. Compared with the rates at Napier last week, crossbred skirtings and oddments ranged from par to 2.5 per cent cheaper, and lambs’ wool sold in buyers’ favour.. The catalogues contained 43,351 bales, of which 21,125 were offered yesterday. The sale will continue tomorrow. The offering comprised 5S per .cent fleece, . 23 per cent!
lambs’ wool, and 5 per cent second-shear. The main competition came from Eastern and Western Europe, supported by the Middle East. The Wool Board gave moderate support by bidding on 19.3 per cent of the offering and having 506 bales (2.4 per cent) passed to it Official prices were: c e
