SIMU NEWSLETTER TO MEMBERS Farm Policy We now have available an attractive farm policy for any type of farming. Cover is offered on a variety of items against the usual perils. In addition, cover for expenses incurred as a result of a loss of say a shearing shed is available as well as goods and livestock cover while being transported in any vehicle. Cover for loss of farm dogs from any accidental cause is also available, as is damage to property of others more commonly known as public liability. This type of insurance can be tailored to suit individual needs. • A.A. Finance Limited SIMU is a major shareholder in A.A. Finance Limited, a company formed by the two A.A. insurers and the A.A. Movement in Nev/ Zealand for the purpose of providing finance to members for the purchase of motor vehicles and other assets. In a very short time this company has grown to the stage where it has over $lO million advanced to members who pay less than the going market rate for this. In the near future all SIMU officeswill be able to issue loans. Finance is available only to A.A. members but the company will accept debenture money from any investor at rates which are fully competitive. Papanui Sub Branch Four years ago we opened our first city Sub Branch in Riccarton to see if such a service was required by our members in that district. That a local suburban office is of value to residents was certainly established and we have therefore now aquired premises at Papanui also. We will be keeping a constant watch over other areas so that we will be aware of where further suburban offices should be set up and although this is likely to be a development around Christchurch in the first instance, we will be ready to make similar facilities available in other centres as soon astheyseem to be required. SIMU Motor Services Limited This subsidiary company now undertakes a significant proportion of panel repair work for SIMU in the CHRISTCHURCH area. Insureds are encouraged to use these facilities which are among the most advanced in Nev/ Zealand and in addition to accident repair work, the company offers, mechanical repair facilities and specialises in wheel alignment. A tow service is also a very necessary adjunct to the services offered. We put it together • quickly and fairly with a smile.
