Aunt Haysi trust fund formed

A trust fund has been formed to continue the charitable work of. Miss Edna Neville, known for the last 35 years as Aunt., Haysi. The...director's of :Hay-' wrights?’ Ltd agreed to the establishment of the fund as a gesture to Hay wrights’ jubilee year. The company gave $5OOO, and other gifts have, brought the fund to $7OOO. The directors are hoping the public will contribute to bring the fund to $lO,OOO. Miss Neville raid yesterdav that the idea of, the fund was “absolutely marvellous.” She started at Hay’s 50 years ago and in 1944 took over as Aunt Haysi. Two important parts of her work as Aunt -Haysl were the running of the Hay’s Junior League, started in 1939, and the Birthday Club, started some years earlier. The junior league is still going but the Brithday Club is not. . “Aunt Haysi” supports several charities," including the Society for the Intellectually Handicapped, i Spina Bifida Society, and the! Asthmatic Society. She is a life member of Cholmondeley Children’s Home, Inc. j Money from the fund will be | given to th?’? and similar i charities.
