Saturday trading liquor link?
.An attempt by big supermarket interests to get a share of the home liquor supply market is a big factor in the campaign for Saturday trading, according to the industrial officer for the Shop Employees’ Association (Mr R.J. Campbell.)
“Information that we have received from within a big chain indicates that they see these two issues as closely linked,” said Mr Campbell.
