They are members of the 105-strong B company of the sixth Queen Elizabeth’s Own Gurkha Rifles, serving in Hong Kong. The company’s main role in Hong Kong is stemming the flow of illegal immigrants from China. Next month the company will take part in the New Zealand Army’s annual South Island field exercise, Southern Safari, at Tekapo.
