University Vacancies THE UNIVERSITY OF THE SOUTH PACIFIC SENIOR LECTURER/ LECTURER IN EDUCATION(Post 80/15) THE APPOINTEE will be responsible for the area of Social Science Education (with specialism in Hisfo-y and/or Geography) in the diploma and degree teac education programmes of the School. The successful applicant could be expected to participate in curriculum theory courses and the programmes of the Institute of Education throughout the University Region. The applicant would normally be required to hold appropriate post-graduate qualifications in Social Science Education and Curriculum Studies, to be a qualified teacher and to have had relevant teaching experience at both secondary and tertiary institutions (particularly in teacher training). Salary in accordance with qualifications and experience in one of the following scales: Senior Lecturer: F? 12,275814,450 Lectuer: 11,878. In addition the University provides gratuity amounting to 15 per cent of basic salary, superannuation contribution, appointment allowance, partly furnished accommodation at a maximum rental at present of 12J per cent of salary, Appointment will be for a contract period of three years and may be renewed by mutual agreement.
