989 birds fly in pigeon race
The Christchurch Pigeon Federation held its second race of the season on Saturday when 959 birds were liberated at Parnassus.
A. Wyatt owned the winning bird which was clocked ■n after 2hr llmin. or an average of 882 m a minute. Leading results were:— A. Wyatt, 882.735 metres per minute, 1; R. Taylor, 874.957, 2; T.
