Some whisky cheaper
Wholesalers are selling Scotch whisky cheaper than the main contestants in Christchurch’s liquor pricecutting, " according to , the secretary of the Canterbury Wholesale Wine and Spirit Merchants’ Association (Mr M. R. Good). Mr Good said, that the price quoted in “The Press” yesterday as the cheapest for Scotch was much higher
than what some merchants sold at. Wilson Neill offered Scotch at $10.30, but wholesale merchants had brands selling for as low as $7.99 for a 750 ml bottle. ? But to take advantage of the merchants’ lower price, shoppers had to comply with wholesale regulations and buy at least nine litres.
