Two notable winners
Two of Australia’s greatest pacers. Paleface Adios and Pure Steel, had notable wins .at Moogee Valley, Melbourne, on Saturday. Paleface Adios, which started at 7-to-l, was successful over one mile in 2min o.ls, winning by half a length from Master Kane. Pure Steel, at 5 to 4 on, beat the 66-to-l shot Tweedsmuir, by a length over 2400 m. Both are expected to start in the $75,000 A. G. Hunter Cup on Saturday night, a race for which Pure Steel is a dominating early favourite.
