Six pacers, 9 trotters remain in
Six pacers and nine trotters from New Zealand survived the first forfeit for the Inter-Dominion Championship series to be held at Harold Park, Sydney, next month.
The pacers, headed by Lord Module, are Bad Luck, Canis Minor, Katy’s Command, Locarno and Rocky Tryax. The trotters are Alpine Peaks, Babalu, Gin Gold, Hano Direct, Scotch Tar, Stormy Morn, Thriller Dee, Waipounamu and Even Speed. Travel arrangements for the horses are expected to be completed this morning. Lord Module will probably travel earlier than the other horses as he has been invited to compete in the Miracle Mile on March 7, a week before the championships begin. The other five horses to contest the mile race will be selected on Saturday night. Locarno is oh the short list for that race. If selected; he will probably travel at the same time as Lord Module.
