Pre-season soccer tournament
Technical and Western had good victories in the Rangers Umbro pre-season soccer tournament at Queen Elizabeth II Park No. 2. Technical beat Trans Tours United, 2-0, after leading 1-0 at half-time. It was a good result for the youthful Technical side, whose goalscorers were Andrew Koster and Brent Bolland.
In a generally drab match, Western beat Rangers, 1-0, with the goal being scored by Adrian Kersten.
With section play completed, the four semi-finalists will be New Brighton, Rangers, Western and Technical.
