the European Economic Community negotiations were under way in Ireland it- is not dated in its assessment and statistics on E.E.C. benefits.
costs every family in Brit-' ain £3 annually to stay in the E.E.C., yet for Germany and the Benelux countries families are subsidised by an average of £4. $4. The documentary looks at where these benefits and problems belong. The programme considers the butter surplus and the subsidy system which makes it still profitable for small German dairy farmers to remain in business.
