No comment on boycott

The International Olympic Committee (1.0. C. had no immediate comment yesterday on a Saudi Arabian announcement that it would boycott the Olympic Games in Moscow this year in protest against the Soviet intervention in Afghanistan.
The 1.0. C.. executive director, Monique Berlioux, said she had heard the boycott- announcement on the radio but had not been officially notified. ‘‘We have not sent out the invitations yet and it is very difficult to refuse to take part in an event to which you have not been invited,” she said.
