Fault cuts toll calls
A technical fault h.M operators at the Christch itch .Post Office working haul assisting with international calls yesterday. The new system for direct dialling overseas t..i!< . t ■ most of yesterday altern .. , and there was still a hanlog of calls last evening, although the fault had been fixed. It could not be established whether the number of international calls vias up compared with last tear as no record was available last evening for the number of calls that had gone through.
